The Alp Paşa Hotel consist of residences whose main buildings were built in the middle of the 18th century, while additional buildings were built at the beginning of the 19th century. These mansions originally belonged to the ruling class of the city, and played host to thier esteemed visitors. Featuring Ottoman architecture, the buildings blend with structures of the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Seljuk periods lying within the city walls; signalling uninterrupted settlement here since very early times.
Sensitively renovated by Mehmet Alp in 1995, the buildings that form Alp Pasa Hotel now give a window into the past for guests and visitors alike. During renovations, earlier ruins and historical artifacts were discovered, with some now forming the mini museum in Alp Pasa Hotel gardens, and others now in the care of Antalya museum.
