Museum Hotel Cappadocia

The Museum Hotel is one of the most unusual boutique hotels in Cappadocia. It is located near Uchhisar a famous natural fortress and the only rock settlement of its kind with towers and spires of white tuff with many rooms, tunnels and labyrinths inside. The hotel itself which is called a "museum" for a reason occupies carefully restored stone houses and caves once inhabited by the Hittites later the Persians and then the early Christians. Having preserved the look of an ancient dwelling all rooms are equipped according to the most modern standards. It has everything from comfortable armchairs to Wi-Fi and luxurious bathrooms. It is worth paying special attention to the hotel's interior design. The ceiling of the main hall is painted in Ottoman style and on the exhibition stands one can see.  For example, a Turkish helmet of the 16th century, a lamp that is two thousand years old, ancient Roman coins and many other real museum items. Among the 30 rooms are no two identical: all have different sizes, layout, view from the windows and location. Some suites such as the Guvercinlik (Dovecote) Cave are housed in a former pigeon house and the Shephard's cave suite once housed a shepherd's room and cowshed with ancient sheep feeders still preserved. In each room you can find a lot of antiques: carpets, dishes, fabrics and household items. Castle cave suite has an antique spinner and Tandirli cave suite has a grape press and a tandoor, a special oven in the floor for cooking. The Divan Suite and Sultan's cave suite have charming marble ponds with fish.

Lil'a the hotel's fine restaurant serves traditional Cappadocian dishes which you can only taste here. The wellness center offers a wide range of massages.
